Shell pearls are made from the inner lining of oyster shells, which is ground down, shaped and covered with a layer of natural nacre to protect and give a pearl-like lustre and a perfectly round shape.
Obsidian is a type of volcanic glass formed by lava that was cooled rapidly and not given enough time to crystalise. In ancient times it was polished to be used as an early form of mirror. Obsidian is often thought to be a powerful protective and grounding stone.

Drop earrings featuring black obsidian oval stones surrounded by silver plated oval rings, each linked with an 8mm cream shell pearl.
These are made using silver plated copper wire, silver plated spacer beads and matching earring hooks.
