Full description
I have glued a vintage 1940 Bartholomew map (far more colourful than their OS counterparts) onto a bevelled pine frame in four sections, with the Lancashire and Cheshire elements being at the top and bottom. A piece of mirror glass has been cut to size and glued in the rear. The central part of the map has been split so that Manchester lies to the right and Salford to the left. The whole has had a light protective varnish, although the original folds and wear marks can still be discerned. This would make a wonderful gift for someone proud of their Mancunian heritage and is a great talking point as it shows how the area has changed in over 80 years.
H 425mm x W 355mm.
(I have not attached fixings for hanging for ease of storage but will do so before shipping.)
