Full description
I have glued a vintage 1948 Bartholomew map (far more colourful than their OS counterparts) onto a reclaimed pine frame in four sections, with the Lancashire and Cheshire elements being at the top and bottom. A piece of mirror glass has been cut to size and glued in with a hardboard backing. The central part of the map has been split so that Manchester lies to the right and Salford to the left. The whole has had a light protective varnish, although the original folds and wear marks can still be discerned. This would make a wonderful gift for someone proud of their Mancunian heritage and is a great talking point as it shows how the area has changed in 70-odd years.
H 380mm x W 300mm.
(I have not attached fixings for hanging for ease of storage but will do so before shipping.)
