This painting is inspired by a love of landscapes and light, particularly woodland. They are painted organically - so I never know exactly what it will look like when I start painting - and this is one of the wonders for me!
It involves several different layers of acrylic paint applied with a palette knife and then a reductive process to bring the scene to life.
I will be doing more of these in different colours and each one will be unique piece, capturing the the intricate patterns of woodland and nature.

Full description
This original painting in acrylic on board depicts a woodland view from an abstract perspective.
It is painted in intricate layers and then a reductive technique is applied to reveal wonderful textures and patterns indicative of ethereal woodlands, trees, branches and bark.
The painting is 12 x 16 inches inside a 16 x 21 frame with solid bevelled mount and glass.
