Spun Cotton is a vintage folk craft technique originating in Germany in the mid 19th century. It takes several days to layer and shape the cotton over a wire armature and then let the piece dry naturally. The spun cotton is then hand painted. The art is slow and fiddly but the outcome is rewardingly beautiful.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
One of a kind miniature art doll made using spun cotton with glass bead eyes. Doll is hand painted in brown and off white with brown beak. Bird wears chiffon ruffle and hand sewn felt hat with chiffon Pom Pom on top. Bird measures roughly 9cm tall and can stand unaided on a flat surface. This delicate item is for decorative purposes only and not a toy. Sent in recycled or recyclable packaging.
