Spun Cotton is a vintage folk craft technique originating in Germany in the mid 19th century. It takes several days to layer and shape the cotton over a wire armature and then let the piece dry naturally. The spun cotton is then hand painted. The art is slow and fiddly but the outcome is rewardingly beautiful.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
One of a kind spun cotton ornament made with a wire frame. Elf is hand painted in taupe mauve with creamy white and gold spots. The face is also hand painted with glass bead eyes. Elf has twine hanger and measures roughly 8cm tall. This delicate item is for decorative purposes only and not a toy. Sent in recycled or recyclable packaging.
