I love painting fungi, and wanted to frame some of the tiny paintings I create when attending markets. These gorgeous frames were the perfect match, with the added recycled silk ribbons.

The frame is made of metal and is not perfectly smooth, it has a definite rustic vibe. Glazed with glass so it needs to be handled with care.

Full description
This is a painting of tiny yellow toadstools from my imagination. Painted using professional watercolour paints with some ink drawing to enhance the image. The 100% cotton rag paper is (approx.) 40 x 40mm / 1.5" x 1.5" square and has a tiny piece of handprinted paper (an offcut from another project) added to the reverse. The frame has a lovely vintage brass finish, is glazed with glass and comes threaded with a beautiful piece of raw-edged, recycled sari silk. Frame measurements are: outside edge (approx.) 55 x 55mm / 2.25" x 2.25".
I spend a lot of time (when I remember to take my kit) at markets painting on offcut pieces of watercolour paper. Sometimes I just like to produce imaginary floor and fauna, it's a lovely was to pass the time and always initiates great conversations with customers and visitors.
