I took this black and white photograph in Mevagissey to highlight the humble crab pots that are so central to the life of this classic Cornish fishing village. Mevagissey’s working harbour has grown around a long tradition of fishing, with small boats setting lines of pots close inshore to haul in the daily catch — a practice that keeps the community connected to the sea and its heritage.
