This quilt was inspired by the quiet strength and grounding beauty of the natural world. I imagined a cabin nestled deep in the woods, where the scent of pine lingers in the air and the warmth of a fire glows at the heart of the home. The Log Cabin design, with its central square and radiating strips, has long symbolized shelter, warmth, and belonging—and this quilt carries that tradition forward.
The color palette—rich greens, warm browns, and soft neutrals—was chosen to reflect the textures of the forest floor, tree bark, moss, and stone. Each strip of fabric is like a layer of the landscape, stitched together to create a sense of peace and connection to the earth.
As I pieced each block, I thought of the balance between structure and nature, tradition and comfort. The quilt’s generous single-bed size makes it perfect for curling up with a book, adding warmth to a guest room, or bringing a touch of rustic charm to a modern space.
