My inspiration for this piece came from the beauty and freedom of birds. I’ve always admired how their colours, patterns, and movements bring so much joy and energy to the world around us. With quilling, I wanted to capture that same vibrancy and lightness – each feather made from carefully rolled strips of paper, layered to create depth and life.
This artwork is a celebration of nature’s diversity and the simple happiness that birds bring when we pause to watch them. For me, the different colours symbolise individuality and joy, reminding us to embrace life in full colour. My hope is that this bird artwork brings brightness and positivity into any home it’s displayed in.
