I have experimented with so many different styles of doll over the years and think it's time to share some of the patterns. This is a good starting point if you want to make art dolls with elaborate clothing and costumes because of the long limbs and slim torso. If you want to add clay and sculpt a face you have a solid basis to work on but she looks just as good with just a painted face. I even tried to do a "Prim' example... but hopefully you can do better! ;o)

Full description

Simple cloth doll pattern with button jointed arms - makes an ideal art doll basis for beginner/intermediary doll makers. Embellish to your hearts content, making each new version of Molly totally unique. I show 3 examples of how you can finish this basic doll - but they are just meant to inspire you. I have included a pattern to create the Rococo doll's skirt but it is not a comprehensive tutorial on each doll shown. I've even included a cute little doll for Molly to hold. My pattern is suitable for everyone from beginner upward but please remember that any doll you make with this pattern will suitable for adult collectors, but not for children/play because of the button joints and other embellishments that you may add. Have fun!

Once payment is complete I will email the 9 page A4 PDF for you to print, I will need your current email address. 2 pages of pattern pieces to cut out, 2 featuring basic clothing and the rest is text and photos detailing how to put it all together plus a list of tools and supplies you will need. I recommend using a sewing machine on the body for strong seams. Clothing can be hand sewn.

You may sell the dolls you make from this pattern - please mention that they are based on a Flossimoth pattern. Purchasing my pattern does not transfer Copyright, however. You are NOT permitted to share, copy or alter this pattern or claim it as your own work. Thanks for visiting Flossimoth and supporting my work :o)
