A recycled wine bottle, melted flat and turned into a cheeseboard - ideal for Christmas get-togethers!
Part of my 'ReBottled!' range of recycled bottles, the bottle cheeseboard is fired twice in the kiln, first to flatten it, then, after drilling a hole on the neck, it's returned to the kiln to fire polish the drilled edges for safety and to give a nice softened effect to the hole. You can then hang the cheeseboard on your kitchen wall when not in use (I developed this method and have used it for the last few years rather than attaching a wire loop as it's more secure, and gives a more 'finished' look to the board). Finally, four rubber feet are added to the bottom to protect delicate surfaces.
The bottle board comes with Richardson's Steel cheeseknife and is securely packaged in a box made from at least 75% recycled materials.
