The old Delacroix house still stands at the edge of the cane fields, bones of iron and heartwood sagging under the weight of stories never told. They say when the wind shifts just right—usually 'round harvest time—you can smell her again: Miss Loretta, red-haired and sharp-tongued, the last to live in that house before it went quiet.

She was known for her cooking, sure—but what folks remember most is her scent. A haunting blend of scorched pumpkin, blood-orange peel, and spiced molasses, with just a trace of iron in the air—like old pennies and secrets never confessed.

Some say the smell still clings to the wallpaper, the floorboards, even the breeze itself. Light a melt of Copper & Spice, and you’ll feel it too—the heat, the hunger, the memory. But be warned: what you invite in with scent, you best be ready to entertain.
