Full description
This wonderfully tactile glass dish in vivid turquoise blue is the perfect thing to add a colourful accent to your home, or maybe to hold a few beachcombing treasures. A great gift for anyone who is happiest barefoot on the sand.
This is a medium sized dish from my 'Seaweed' collection of seaglass style kiln-formed glass dishes. The colour is a vivid turquoise blue with a green seaweed motif. The bowl has an organic shape with smooth rounded edges and a rounded base and a satisfyingly weighty feel to it. And a lovely tactile satin finish to the glass surface (just like sea glass) means you won't be able to resist stroking it!

CARE: Not intended for food use. Handwash only.
PROCESS: Handmade by me, Helen Smith, in my studio on the Wirral peninsula. I create my bowls by fusing together multiple layers of glass in my kiln where they stretch and flow ensuring that no one bowl is the same as any other. I then sandblast the glass before firing it in the kiln again to obtain the final form and tactile satin finish. All elements of this dish are glass - no paint was involved anywhere!
