Anyone that knows me will tell you that I have a 'thing' for quirky and unusual boxes. Boxes have a mystery to them, everyone wants to have a peek inside and the more unusual the better. They are also practical and beautiful items. Home decor with a practical use. I love something a little different, a juxtaposition to the norm, so there you have it, my reason for creating one of a kind and unusual boxes

Quirky Art Nouveau Arty 'Medusa' House Shaped Trinket Jewellery Box / Tealight Holder
A beautiful and unique house shaped Art Nouveau style trinket / jewellery box or can be used as a 'battery' tealight holder.
The house box has a pull out drawer and I have added antique lions claw feet which are metal
I have decoupaged and hand painted this beautiful and unusual box in Art Nouveau style and edged in gold and then used a craquelure finish on the design so that it appears aged, with very fine cracks like old porcelain.
This box will make a superb gift for anyone who loves the unusual.
Inside is painted with a lovely mustard yellow, then varnished. The outside of the inner drawer has been painted black.
A talking piece and the perfect place to keep small treasures or add tiny fairy lights, or a battery tealight which will look lovely lit up at night.
