When I are out and about with a sketchbook, I find that as in the studio, one type of paper doesn’t work for everything, so I call this a non-linear sketchbook as when you decide what you want to do, you choose your paper accordingly. To write, to draw, to stick in a found item, to trace an idea, to use colour or black and white, pen or paint. Working on ideas throughout the sketchbook, also creates interesting connections between the drawings, notes, paintings, collected items and images.
A removable square of mount board is included, which acts as a backing when using a page; so what you do on one page has no impact on the others. And as when I have a working sketchbook, I am always collecting things that get included among its pages, a binding clip keeps everything in place.

Full description
This mini sketchbook - only 8 x 7.5 cm - is a work of art in itself and perfect for jotting down or sketching ideas; making notes or recording events and colours; small enough to fit in any bag or pocket.
The sketchbook has 24 pages all cut, folded and stitched by me using shashiko thread. Its cover is taken from one of my original intaglio prints on heavy somerset paper. The internal pages are a mix of papers including: Cartridge 135gsm, tracing, layout, hand-pressed, recycled, decorative, black 140gsm and lined and plain writing paper.
A removable backing card is included.
A steel binder clip keeps the sketchbook closed and anything added in or collected stays safe inside the book.
The sketchbook will be sent wrapped in recycled tissue paper in a card envelope (Re-used where possible to cut-down on waste)
