I like to make scarves and ties that are unique works of art items to wear. Yes, you can buy a tie from the high street store, but so can hundreds of other people buy exactly the same item, so be individual and have the satisfaction that you have a unique piece of art. My husband has a few of my ties and every time he wears one, he gets stopped and asked where his tie came from, so be noticed and stand out from the crowd!
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
A Hand Painted 100% Silk Necktie. I use French steam fix Silk Dyes and a salt effect technique to produce the overall abstract pattern.
The tie is supplied in a black cardboard tie presentation box.
Colours: Light Green, Forest Green, Dark Green
Dimensions:
Length: 56"/ 142cm
Width: 3.75" / 9.5cm at the widest part of the tie at the front.
Each item I make is individual, even if I use similar colours every tie will be unique. Once the dyes have dried onto the silk, the tie will be steamed the following day in a steamer to set the dyes.
DRY CLEAN ONLY: Ties are best if they are dry cleaned, please tell the cleaners that this is a hand painted item.
All items from the Silk Spinner's Studio are made by me, in a cigarette smoke free home. I am usually listening to music or podcasts whilst working, with my beautiful Deerhound keeping me company whilst I craft.
Even though I have made every effort to show my items as accurately as possible using natural and white light to take photographs, the colour accuracy of images cannot be guaranteed.
