Some years ago I was lucky enough to spend a month in Japan during February, when the revered Cherry Blossom first starts to bloom. In Japanese culture Cherry Blossom symbolises hope, love and as a symbol of renewal and fleeting beauty, Cherry Blossoms mark the arrival of Spring, a season of new beginnings and rebirth. The short lifespan of the blossom serves as a powerful reminder of the transience of life and the importance of cherishing each moment. It's also very beautiful and I felt very privileged to be visiting at that time of year.

Fibres: Mulberry Silk, Merino Wool, Polwarth Wool, Whitefaced Woodland Wool, Angelina Sparkle
Colours: Natural White, Natural Cream, Fluorescent Pink, Candy Floss Pink, Magenta, Lilac, Mother of Pearl
Weight: 54g - 59g (1.9oz - 2oz) approx. Batt is labelled with weight.
Batt Dimensions: 30.5cm x 56cm (12" x 22" ) approx.
Uses: Spinning, Wet Felting, Needle Felting, Art Embellishment for Textile work. NB: Please be aware that batts containing recycled Sari Silk should be washed in COLD WATER ONLY as warm water causes the dyes to bleed.
Each batt is hand carded, on a Drum Carder. I incorporate lots of Silk and Sparkle fibres to make my batts extra special. Easy to spin, either directly from the batt or can be pre-drafted through a Diz if preferred. 'Spring Cherry Blossom' has been built up over 3 to 4 layers, with randomly placed fibres to give a blended effect rather than stripes. The batt is folded and packed in a cellophane bag for ease of posting. Up to two batts are sent in an environmentally friendly mailing bag, heavier batts are boxed.
