I have Celtic roots, so to celebrate St. Patrick's Day this year, I spent the day creating the 'Emerald Isle' batts with multiple shades of green; Lawn, Gooseberry, Laburnum and Conifer. I added some yellow, white and peacock to the mix, blending the colours on the drum carder to make my own little homage to the Emerald Isle.

Full description

Fibres: Mulberry Silk, Merino, Angelina Sparkle

Colours: Shades of Green - Lawn, Gooseberry, Laburnum, Conifer, Yellow, White, Peacock

Weight: 61g - 67g (2.1oz - 2.3oz) approx. Batt is labelled with weight.

Dimensions: 30.5cm x 56cm (12" x 22" ) approx.

Uses: Spinning, Wet Felting, Needle Felting, Art Embellishment for Textile work. NB: Batts containing recycled Sari Silk should be washed in COLD WATER ONLY as warm water causes the dyes to bleed.

Each batt is hand carded, on a Drum Carder. I incorporate lots of Silk and Sparkle fibres to make my batts extra special. Easy to spin, either directly from the batt or pre-drafted through a Diz if preferred. 'Emerald Isle' has been built up over 4 layers, with randomly placed fibres to give a blended effect rather than stripes. Each layer contains all the fibres stated. The batt is folded and packed in a cellophane bag for ease of posting. Up to two batts are sent in an environmentally friendly mailing bag, heavier batts are boxed.
