Pearls are considered the 30th wedding anniversary gift and the birthstone for June and Gemini.
They are also associated with marriage, and are a popular choice as bridal jewellery.
Pearls have been coveted by mankind for millennia and have many legends associated with them.
In ancient China pearls were believed to protect the wearer from fire - and fire-breathing dragons!
They are also commonly linked to purity and innocence, the moon, the Goddess Venus, tears shed by the gods, and the journey of the soul along the path of perfection.
Garnet is the traditional birthstone for Capricorn and the month of January.
The common belief that Garnets had the power to shield their wearer from harm made them popular with both royalty and warriors.
In the middle ages it was believed that a dragons eyes glowed red because they were made of Garnet.
It is thought to be a highly protective stone.

Full description
Each dainty little earring features an 8mm burgundy freshwater rice Pearl topped with a trio of 2mm faceted garnets.
They are very lightweight and easy to wear.
A 1.8mm rose-gold vermeil spacer separates the pearl and garnet beads.
The Pearls have a gorgeous, rich, iridescent sheen and are a beautiful burgundy wine colour.
The tiny Garnets are faceted to give a lovely glint when they catch the light.
The beads are threaded onto rose-gold vermeil and hung from rose gold vermeil 18mm hoops.
Rose gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with rose gold.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, these would make a lovely wedding accessory, a gift for a bridesmaid, birthday or anniversary, particularly a June birthday or 30th wedding anniversary, as Pearl is the recognised stone for these, or for a January birthday as Garnet is the January birthstone.
These earrings measure approximately .75 of an inch (2cm), excluding the hoops.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza bag.
