They are also associated with marriage, and are a popular choice as bridal jewellery.

In ancient China pearls were believed to protect the wearer from fire - and fire-breathing dragons!

Full description
Each earring features an 8mm peach freshwater potato Pearl, 8x5mm burgundy freshwater rice Pearl and a 4mm peach freshwater potato Pearl.
The Pearls are highlighted with tiny 1.8mm gold vermeil spacers.
The Pearls have a gorgeous, rich, iridescent sheen.
The beads are threaded onto gold vermeil pins and hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18k gold.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, these would make a lovely wedding accessory, a gift for a bridesmaid, birthday or anniversary, particularly a June birthday or 30th wedding anniversary, as Pearl is the recognised stone for these, or as a special treat for yourself.
These earrings measure approximately 1.35 inches (3cm), excluding the ear-wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza bag.
