A unique variation on a 1920s pineapple stitch, this statement earring is a light weight, contemporary reimagining of a treasured heritage craft.
It holds within it the echos of bygone elegance. Handcrafted using 100% reclaimed Fine Silver and mounted on Reclaimed Sterling Silver earwire, this earring catches the light beautifully.
2.5 inches long.
Creation process: It has been created using recycled .999 silver wire and antique hand tools (stainless steel hooks dating back to the 1940s) in the solar powered Twisted Fern Studio.
About crochet silver: The knotting technique makes crochet silver lace flexible, light, and strong, much like and elegant chainmail. These designs can easily withstand daily wear, are comfortable to wear, and much stronger than they look. The 999 Fine silver wire I use is reclaimed from medical and industrial machinery then given a new lease of life as a long lasting piece of unique wearable art.
Packaging: Your new piece will be lovingly packaged in the black box pictured, then posted in a recycled protective packaging. Each order will come with a thank you note and a card with care instructions and info about your new purchase.
