Fairground and Seaside Montage - is a 24inch square, wooden frame with stretched fabric, that I have completely, entirely embroidered by hand, every inch, every up and down, every little stitch, every colour and shape - everything! Some of the larger elements ie the Ferris Wheel, the Building etc were created "off site" as patches and then appliqued on and additional details added and seamlessly embroidered into the whole montage. There's so much to see and discover, so many layers of visual intrigue, visual and physical texture, and so so many colours, imagery that flows as your eyes meander the rides, buildings, the beach and sky. Created over 3 years (broken downs in to chunks of months, continual weeks and continuous hours - breaks were taken over holidays - overall I couldn't say how may hours in total - hundreds? thousands? ). A tidy and custom made patched-fabric border was created at the end, and permanently appliqued and attached to the base fabric - thus the wooden frame creating the perfect wall art for any fun, cool, colourful zone. Would be ideal for a bedroom, nursery etc (but is NOT a TOY and not to be played with, decorative only) - for anywhere that's not damp or open to any harmful elements and in an area it will be a centre piece and treasured. A focal point or a talking point. Ready to hang or you can have framed when you receive.
