I love blending colours on my drum carder and spinning yarn that you can't buy in the shops! The real joy for me is in the blending and spinning, and I know how difficult and prohibitively expensive it can be to get set up with all of the supplies and equipment required to make art yarn like this, which is what motivates me to share it with you! Maybe you've been dreaming of making beautiful weavings but don't have the time to learn how to spin, that's where I come in <3

Colours are blended on a drum carder and then the yarn is spun on an Ashford traditional spinning wheel. All made by hand, this art yarn is perfect for your next project. That might be knitting, crochet, weaving, embroidery or felting! The only limit is your imagination!! If you're stuck for ideas, find me on Tiktok where I regularly post projects I have completed using my handspun yarn.
There are approximately 46 meters in this skein and it weighs 40g. It has been steamed thoroughly to set the twist, however as this is a non-plied single, it does still have a little character and doesn't hang completely straight in the skein.
This yarn is core spun. The core is strong cotton, and the fibre added is either 100% wool or 99% wool with small additions of sari silk, Fibre is sourced from reputable suppliers from non-mulesed flocks, and are mostly blends of Corriedale and Merino. The yarn must be washed in cool water with minimal agitation to avoid felting.
