Full description
I was given some old beech chair legs and thought I'd have a go at something flamboyant and slightly rude for the more bohemian hallway, hence the Willypegs. Each peg has been individually hand carved and glued into a backboard of reclaimed maple. I have drilled six screw holes rather than four because of the additional leverage caused by the length of the pegs. I thought I'd give this set of willypegs the shabby chic treatment so I have finished it with white chalk paint, scrubbed down in areas, then a few coats of antique pine wax to distress it up a bit more.
