Full description
I was given some old beech chair legs and thought I'd have a go at something flamboyant and slightly rude for the more bohemian hallway, hence the Willypegs. Each peg has been individually hand carved and glued into a backboard of reclaimed maple and the whole has been finished with clear wax. I have drilled six screw holes rather than four because of the additional leverage caused by the length of the pegs. The dark rings on the ends are caused by the original woodstain where it soaked into the chair leg at the thinnest point, evidence of its previous life as a useful object.
