I’ve only been working with glass for a couple of years, but since the first time I tried it, I have been hooked. I am a magnet to colour and there are so many options of beautiful glass to try, the ideas never stop forming of what to do with it, and boredom never comes. Glass fusing is very addictive.

Handcrafted fused glass cabochons, perfect for jewellery making, wire wrapping or crafting.
Handcrafted in Wiltshire by myself, these vibrant glass cabochons are made from COE90 bullseye glass. The glass for this style of cabochons is fired twice in a kiln.
The first firing process needs a temperature of up to 1,500 F to fuse 6 layers of glass together permanently. This first firing, including cooling, takes 18 hours approximately.
The glass is then cut up into chunks and fired again at a temperature of up to 1,500 F to gently shape them into cabochons. This second firing, including cooling, takes a further 18 hours approximately.
Therefore, it is a long process to make these, but definitely worth it.
The cabochons have flat backs, so can easily be used for various purposes, jewellery making for example, as bails can be affixed, wire wrapped or have a mount built around them.
Sizes and shapes vary in each set, the coin is there to give an indication of their sizes. Rest assured, their kiln-fused colours are fade-resistant.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind, and no two are the same due to the patterns formed whilst firing.
Please be mindful that despite always ensuring the photos I take for listings are accurate/true in colour, colours may differ slightly from monitor to monitor as not all screen resolutions are set the same.
