I have always love the story of Princess & the Pea, so wanted to create it in my own way.

Full description
This interpretation of the famous Hans Christian Anderson story "The Princess & the pea" has been created using hand embroidery & re-cycled bits of material and old shirts to create the layers of mattresses the sleeping princess is lying on. The mattresses are padded, creating a 3D effect.
The picture, which had been embroidered onto white linen has then been mounted on white card, which in turn is mounted onto a teal painted canvas board to create a final piece of art measuring 9" (23.5cm) x 12" (31.5cm) & can be hung as is.
