This listing is for an accordion book which has covers made from ice dyed silk. Ice dyeing is a technique whereby ice is layered on top of the silk fabric and dye powder is sprinkled over the ice. As the ice melts, the dye powder seeps into the fabric and produces beautiful and interesting patterns. Each piece of fabric is unique. The book is made of 2 pieces of 240gsm acrylic paper and has 18 surfaces, 10 on the front (including the inside covers) and 8 on the back. Each surface measures approximately 5cm x 12cm and the book measures approximately 5.5cm x 12.5cm. The book is perfect for any project, e.g. illustrations, text, collage. I have tried to photograph the covers so that the colours are as accurate as possible but please be aware that colours can look slightly different and may vary on different screens.
