a friend gave me a branch of an apple tree that she had climbed as a child and had kept in her garage for 20+ years. I made her a number of items from the branch and this was made from the remaining wood.

Full description
Small bowl made from the crotch wood of an apple tree. The age of the branch this was taken from resulted in several areas of decay which when removed led to a pleasing asymmetrical shape for the piece. The finishing reveals a beautifully mellow tone to the grain
This striking bowl is 110x45mm.
