Having already finished a similar themed bottle in pastel colours, I wanted to paint the pansies again but this time in a faded, 'undead' kind of colour scheme.

I wondered what the flowers from Wonderland might look like a bit 'spookier' and this is the result. Once I'd started painting I went down a haberdashery rabbit hole, determined to create the perfect embellishments to enhance the 'posessed' pansies. I originally popped a black rose at the centre of the artificial flower but, pretty as it was, it wasn't right so I dug out my polymer clay stash. I hope you like the clay skull and it's housing as much as I enjoyed creating this one..... Also, one less bottle in landfill....

Full description
This is a hand-painted 70cl bottle, hand bound and embellished to create a unique ornamental piece for anyone who likes their stuff spooky or a bit alternative.
The body of this bottle has a cluster of faded red, blue and purple pansies that have little skulls at their centre, framed by black dot work.
The neck has been bound with black jute chord alternating between matt and metallic effects, embellished with black netted lace and black flat back gems. Puts me in mind of a witches hat. It's finished with a white artificial pansy that has a smattering of gunmetal glitter and a clay skull at it's centre, just like the pansies that are painted.
Standing at 29.5cm, a statement on it's own, it would also make a lovely single stem vase or lamp using bottle twinkles.
This bottle will come cellophaned wrapped in a gift bag. Sent by Royal Mail Tracked with signature.
