I wanted to design a pattern that would use up small amounts of yarn without needing to weave in lots of ends that would be unique. I decided to work the stripes lengthways so that the yarn ends also become the tassles

Full description
This is the alternative scarf, a design made by me to use up small amounts of scrap yarn which I had purchased from charity shops in my area. The patchwork of scrap yarn reduces textile waste making this a sustainable and eco friendly option.
The final scarf width of 21cm was decided when I ran out of yarn so you can rest easy knowing that no waste has come from this product. The length of the scarf is 160cm and I feel that this has a unisex finish to it.
Wash at 30 degrees, dry flat I would recommend hand washing due to mohair yarn being used- do not know exact fibre quantity as the yarns were brought second hand
