I'd had this in mind to make for ages as a different alternative to bunting flags. I'm passionate about making reusable quality bunting, banners and garlands for all occasions to replace single use decorations that end up straight in the bin. I love the bright candy rainbow colours of this garland - perfect for all ages and genders and perfect for starting a new and meaningful family tradition to be treasured.

This fun and colourful 'happy birthday' garland will really get the party started! Each garland is lovingly handcrafted from wool blend felt in five fabulously bright colours (red, mustard, leaf green, turquoise blue and candy pink) with silver glittery felt stars. These garlands look great hung on a wall, mantel, shelf, curtain rail, bannister or at a window and they make for great gifts for friends and loved ones too. They can be used time and time again, year after year - no more single use banners that end up straight in the bin! They also come packaged in plastic free, recyclable packaging.
The garland consists of two strands; one for 'happy' and another for 'birthday' and each strand has a glittery silver felt star at either end. Each hand cut and machine sewn letter measures approximately 11cm high, with each star measuring approximately 8cm across. Each letter and star is threaded by hand onto white cotton twine, and they can slide along the string therefore making the spacing between the letters adjustable. The lengths of the garlands from one end to the other as spaced in the photos are as follows:
'Happy' strand - approximately 50cm from the tip of the first star to the furthest tip of the second star
'Birthday' strand - approximately 65cm from the tip of the first star to the furthest tip of the second star.
Approximately 60cm of excess cotton twine is provided at either end to allow for more generous spacing between the letters and for hanging or tying.
