While galaxies are my usual style, I wanted to try a new technique of layering paint to create a checkered effect. When I finished I realised it more resembled tartan than a checkers and dubbed it 'Party Plaid'

A layered tartan inspired piece that I have entitled 'Party Plaid'! A new and fun technique for me that I think turned out beautifully!
