With my paintings, I am inspired by taking a small section of something that I find beautiful and enlarging it on the canvas or paper. It would always be something that would be overlooked, for example a small section of a reflection of something or an area whereby the eye would not focus on. This painting was inspired by a still life that I set up of fabrics and picked an interesting section with shadows, highlights and depth of colour/
