We use Royal Mail for envelopes and small parcels. Larger parcels, including most artworks, are sent to either a Parcelshop or Lockers.
Although this is not as convenient as having a delivery to your home, it does offer two benefits. Firstly, it is much cheaper and no one likes to spend more than they have to, and secondly, the parcels are subjected to significantly less handling and so are much less likely to be damaged in transit.
If you prefer, we can arrange for delivery directly to you. Let us know, and we can discuss costs prior to shipment.
As with many pictures, this started as another experiment. Learning about the ways in which two pictures develop differently from a common starting point.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
Description:
This is the first of two pictures created from a single batch of made-up pouring paints, that is, acrylic paints mixed with their chosen pouring medium. It was an experiment to see how similar the two pictures could be persuaded to be.
NOTE: Although the two pictures demonstrate certain similarities, their frames do not. They are made using timber of differing sizes and profiles so (unfortunately) they would not made a good diptych.
Interesting to note how the gold has become prominent, and the bark blue has been almost completely lost to the lighter blues. The painting has been completed with two coats of good-quality varnish for finish and protection.
Acrylic Fluid Art uses top-of-the-range Acrylic Paints, containing high-quality pigments, polymers and binders. These are then mixed with a Pouring Medium. The combination of the two provides the required pouring behaviour, colour, viscosity and opacity.
