Full description
Hand-stitched textile art made from vintage and new fabrics. Inused a piece of vintage quilt as a base and created 'flowers' from suffolk puffs with embroidered stems and fabric leaves, all sitting in a red checked 'vase'. Further decoration includes a printed label, a floral image and lace. Itsvhung from a wool-wrapped stick through lace loops and a plaited wool hanger.
The back has an Elsie May and Bertha label and a little fabric collage.
The piece measures 22cm in length from the wrapped silk to the bottom of the lace and the quilt piece is 14cm wide (16cm overall).
