Jewellery Maker TV challenged me to make a piece using the most glorious strand of Amazonite that showcased the graduation of colours. This is the result.

Amazonite, also called Amazon Jade or Amazon Stone, is a green to blue-green variety of Feldspar, which is a mineral that forms in short prismatic, tabular crystals or masses. It ranges in hue from bright verdigris green to paler shades of turquoise,
Amazonite soothes the chakras and aligns the physical body to the etheric. It is particularly rejuvenating to the Heart and Throat Chakras, enhancing loving communication on all levels. It balances one’s masculine and feminine energies, as well as various aspects of the personality. It awakens compassion for others by allowing one to perceive both sides of a problem and by accepting differing points of view.
This fabulous gemstone is rapidly becoming a favourite amongst jewellers and is seeing a rise in value and desirability. I have combined a graduated strand of natural Amazonite with intricate wire-wrapped techniques and Swarovski crystals to create a divine piece that showcases the natural beauty of the stones.
The wire is a tarnish-resistant silver-plated wire which will keep its colour for very many years. The necklace will fit a neckline from 16 inches to 22 inches.
