This piece is inspired by wild landscapes, moonlit skies, and the beauty of slowing down. Using foraged plants from garden walks and combining sun-printing with embroidery allows me to explore both nature and creativity in harmony.

Full description
This one-of-a-kind textile artwork brings together natural elements, handcraft, and a touch of the mystical. Featuring a shimmering crescent moon, surrounded by delicate florals and crystal-like shapes, the design is hand-stitched using multicoloured threads onto cyanotype-dyed cotton fabric.
The background is created using the traditional cyanotype process — real wildflowers and grasses are placed on fabric and exposed to sunlight, leaving behind their silhouettes in rich indigo tones. This natural print creates an ethereal setting for the embroidered details layered over the top.
Mounted in a 6.5-inch wooden embroidery hoop, the piece is finished and backed with cotton for a clean look and is ready to hang or gift.
