‘Spiorad na hEireann’ (‘The Spirit of Ireland’) – Painting & Pencil Wall Art on Wood. (I apologise for the missing accent over the E of Eireann - Folksy wouldn't allow it!?)
A 60 x 30 cm acrylic paint and soft-wax pencil painting on a 6 mm layered beech wood sheet.
“Spiorad na hEireann” captures my vision of the mystical west coast of Ireland, where the untamed Atlantic Ocean collides with the timeless, rugged shores beneath a deepening sky.
As dusk settles over the landscape, a sturdy, weather-worn lighthouse glows, as a steadfast guardian amidst the wild elements. Evoking the spirit of Ireland itself – both wild and serene, ancient and enduring – guiding the soul through the twilight of an eternal, windswept horizon.
