Full description

A Perfect Chaos is a vibrantly coloured semi-abstract landscape painting of roe deer in a yellow field with the sea beyond them. It is 36x36x1.5 inches. The style is slightly art nouveau and accentuates the curves and rolling shapes of land, sea and sky in springtime in a playful way. The view shows a hind and a buck roe deer making an appearance in a field of yellow flowers. Beyond them is a view towards a path and the sea that it leads to. At the edge of the meadow is the suggestions of pink flowers and blossom. There is a definite energy and motion towards the centre of the painting caused by use of various brush stokes and shapes that make sense but are also a little mysterious. This painting was inspired by a trip to Dorset in spring just as the rape seed flowers were blooming. I was stuck by the sheer beauty of the contrast between the blue sky and the yellow meadow. Painted on deep edge canvas, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity.
