The seed pods dry well and are popular with flower arrangers. They have many other names depending on where you are in the world- Chinese coins, Pope's money, silver dollars. Flowering in late spring to summer, the plants delicate white or lilac flowers are attractive to pollinators.

Full description
Shapely seed pods dance onto watercolour paper for this Cyanotype Photogram. Amazing detail of the see-through seed pods captured by the sun in this Artwork. This garden plant is adorned with white or lilac flowers in the summer, followed by the featherweight pods with silvery coats. Then the delicate papery capsules release their seeds into the summer breeze. In this photogram, they remind me of a bunch of balloons going up, up and away.
I think this artwork really 'pops' in the frame used in the photographs without a mount.

Created on A4 300 gsm acid-free watercolour paper.
Named ‘Up’, numbered and signed on the reverse, it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity as an Original Artwork 1/1
The Photogram is A4 it comes UN-MOUNTED and UN-FRAMED, and will fit into a frame 21x 29.7 cm / 8 x12" with no mount.
The photogram will be placed in a fully recyclable protective bag, protected by cardboard and posted in a board-backed envelope, which is reusable and recyclable.
