The Mermaid Earrings - the ultimate mermaid core, beachy summer earrings! These would be perfect for a beach wedding, but also any time you want to channel some mermaid energy. I wire wrapped these earrings with rolled gold wire and they are comprised of turquoise Czech glass mermaids and art deco shells, above and below a central pearl (a pair of really beautiful baroque freshwater pearls that I'd been putting aside for something special). The ear wires are also rolled gold. They have a 7.5cm drop. These are dramatic impactful earrings and are totally unique - I only had two of these pearls so once these are gone they are gone.
What is rolled gold? Also known as gold filled or gold bonded, rolled gold is higher quality than gold plated, but an affordable alternative to solid gold. Unlike gold plated, gold filled can last a lifetime if taken care of properly, and isn't affected by water or hot weather.
The pearls in this necklace are vintagere claimed freshwater cultured (farmed) pearls from China. They are solid pearl all the way through and have wonderful irregular organic forms.
