This was turned from an old oak beam that I reclaimed from a barn in Fort William years ago. The beam itself was about 20cm by 20cm by 2m and had these long cracks running along it's length formed from its original drying process. I could have turned them out I suppose but why remove a piece of it's history?

Full description
Bowl turned from reclaimed oak beam. Natural cracks running across the lip have been stabilised but have likely been there quite happily for 80 years or so! Finished in danish oil and wax. Size H 8cm W 17cm.
