Unique Fairy & Bird In a Nest Handcrafted Jewellery, Trinket, Keepsake Box
A wonderful whimsical box to keep anything you like safe and secure, a completely one of a kind design.
This beautiful and unique whimsical trinket / jewellery box is handcrafted, with a mix of decoupage and hand painting plus craquelure crackle glazing to give an antique porcelain effect.
The top is a stunning image of a fairy feeding a little robin who is istting on the edge of the nest complete with eggs. A perfect gift for Easter /Spring for someone special or why not treat yourself?
I have finished the lid with gold edging and four antique effect fancy metal corners.
On 2 sides of the box I have added golden birds in flight.
The box has been painted black as this gives a rich dramatic background to the gold elements. It is also a lovely contrast to the fairy and bird image.
I have also fitted this box with four lovely antique gold lions claw feet.
The inside of the box is also black, it's finished with a painted gold edge
This box is fitted with a nice chunky brass catch to keep the contents secure.
Size: 9cm square, 9cm in height including the feet, the box is 6.5cm deep not including the feet
