Full description
The Sound of Music - three vintage metal buttons in a highly detailed flower design. I think this is the alpine edelweiss - a symbol of Switzerland and immortalised in the musical - with little florets sitting in the centre of a rosette of pointed petal-like bracts.
Antiqued silver-black metal colour, that looks a little like pewter. Some parts are highly polished, other are deliberately dulled.
These are very heavy buttons for their size and are slightly domed with a deep shank that has been welded on.
Preloved in great condition.
Size: 2.5 cm diameter (at widest part), button sits 1 cm high with shank.

The Old Button collection - over the years many beautiful buttons have been passed down to me by family members or gifted to me by friends. Others I have sourced locally from antique and pre-loved stores.
Each button is carefully sorted and cleaned, and carefully sewn to card tags to help protect them.
