Bertha was created as a celebration of quiet resilience and handmade joy.
I wanted to make something that felt comforting in the hand and the heart — a small, gentle bear with a story, stitched from fabrics that have already lived a life and are ready for their next adventure.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Say hello to Bertha — a small teddy bear with a big heart and plenty of charm. Handmade in the UK using reclaimed and recycled fabrics, Bertha is a delightful companion for adult bear collectors, or a thoughtful gift for someone needing a little luck or comfort.
Bertha Bear loves to dance her favourite music is jazz and Rock n Roll. She s taken dance lessons since she was a cub and is really very good.
She s looking for someone who will be her forever dance partner and who shares her love of bacon sandwiches.

Bertha Bear is made from an upcycled wool mix coat and grey calico fabric on her inner ears. She feels soft and cuddly.
She is stuffed with synthetic stuffing and is fully jointed (including her head) with cotter pin joints.
Bertha Bear is not suitable for children or animals.
She comes from a non-smoking home.
She will come to you with her little story (above) printed on a pretty card and tied with string.
