Here on the Fylde coast, a brisk walk along the sea front, beachcombing on the shoreline, or enjoying a bag of chips on the prom is accompanied by the soundtrack of the seaside - the call of the seagulls. They represent freedom and a carefree spirit - encapsulating the ethos of slow stitch. I have hand drawn each seagull motif on fabric, free motion machine embroidered on the sewing machine, hand painted legs and beak and hand cut the finished motif - ready for you to use in your own coastal creation.
