Full description
This is a lovely vintage style jewellery/keepsake box with a beautiful Bullfinch & Berries design on the lid.
I have crafted it using several artistic techniques including crackle glaze, craquelure, air dry clay sculpting, and decoupage.
The lid has been craquelured to give fine porcelain like cracks and the edges of the box have been decorated using my handcrafted clay mouldings painted pink and finished with gold wax.
The rest of the box has been painted with white chalk paint base and a pink chalk paint top with a crackle glaze technique which gives the box a lovely vintage look.
I have added four antique metal feet and small cabochon in air dry clay which has a little bow on it, this is also finished in gold.
The lid of this box is domed.
The whole box has been finished with professional decorators varnish.
The inside of the box is natural wood.
