This is my home. Basically thats it. For me Newcastle upon Tyne is steeped in history and filled with a unique set of warm and hospitable peple. My Dad grew up in the Newcastle Arms, in what was then was then called Darn Crook (now St Andrews Street) and my Mam grew up in the Newcaste Cooperative stores, Newgate Street in the centre of the city.
The family background is either Newcastle or Northumberland. Therefore, I thought it was only right and proper to make a collection of art work from Newcastle and the surrounding areas.
Even when living, either from the High Level Railway Bridge or crosng the Tyne Bridge, never ceases to give me a warm, belonging feeling. This is my home and I love it. Its good to be back.

This acrylic painting is a view of the Tyne Bridge from Sandhill, Newcastle upon Tyne.
It is the first of a series of six signed acrylic paintings from the Newcastle area.
